Important Instructions
All players must be members of the AGA. Click here to check your current membership status and subscribe or renew if necessary. Your membership must remain current throughout the Congress. Non-participants do not need to be members.
Players residing outside the U.S. may request a complimentary AGA membership. Click here to sign up for free.
Family and group registrations can be completed under a single account. Before starting, please have everyone’s information on hand, including birth date, T-shirt size, and AGA number (if applicable). Group discounts are available for 6 or more people—contact the Registrar.
Youth participants (age 17 and under at time of Congress) are heavily discounted! — made possible by a generous grant from the American Go Foundation (AGF). For North American youths, enter the coupon code YouthReg2026 to immediately take $300 off the price of $439. For youth participants resident outside North America use NonNAYouth2026 for a $150 discount, sponsored by the American Go Association.
All youths at the Congress must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In addition, an online Youth Agreement must be completed prior to the event. See the Youth Room page for more details.
The AGF also offers scholarships for youth playing in tournaments and for college students (ages 18-26 at time of Congress), which you can learn about here.
Financial aid is available on a limited basis for those in need. You can apply here.
The Awards Banquet is included in your registration fee this year—be sure not to miss it! Also included is the famous Welcome Bag with T-shirt, coffee mug, and other goodies.

Payments and Cancellations
Full payment is required at the time of registration. This helps the Congress run more smoothly, and we appreciate your cooperation.
Accepted payment methods include credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover), Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Cancellations:
- Before June 1 will receive a 75% refund.
- On or after June 1 and before July 15 will receive a 50% refund.
- On or after July 15 will receive no refund.
